For more than 25 years, I have been developing software with clearly structured user interfaces at the intersection of design and technology. Today as Head of Design & Technology at ProKASRO, where a product line of twelve applications emerged within seven months – from measurement data acquisition in the vehicle to pit-stop strategy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Before that, two years as Creative Director for Vesta Bund, the German federal government’s digital shareholding management system, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
Creative Coding
My roots lie in the computer demoscene of the 1990s and the Flash scene of the 2000s – two cultures in which design, animation, and programming were one and the same, and which emerged within tight technical constraints. That mindset has remained: code as a design medium.
